I grew up in Philadelphia, where I stuck around for college (BA in History) and med school, both at the University of Pennsylvania. I had an early interest in Transplant Surgery and Immunology, and worked on several basic science, translational and clinical projects while at Penn. I moved to San Francisco to start residency in General Surgery on my path towards becoming a transplant surgeon, and after completing 3 years of my junior residency, I’m excited to start two years of basic science research in the Marson Lab. I’ll be focusing my efforts on using CRISPR editing technology to better understand the pathways that drive Regulatory T Cell function.
